The game of bingo is among the most popular games of luck that has been adopted by movies and TV shows because of the excitement it brings to viewers. Lovers of bingo are able to relate more to the movies since they perfectly understand whatever is going on.
Bingo scenes have been long used in movies to set a light-hearted mood and add humour. As early as 1990, the game had been incorporated into a number of movies in a bid to appeal to a larger demographic.

Even though bingo has been associated with the elderly community, movies have brought out another side of the game that connects people of all ages. These movies portray the game just as you can experience it on online bingo sites or physical bingo halls.

Big Momma’s House 2

When you hear Big Momma’s House, you remember all the light-hearted moments that the movie brings out. This movie franchise is considered to be the “mother of all comedies” and has gone on to become among the most iconic comedy classics.

In this second instalment, Agent Malcolm disguises himself as Big Momma and goes undercover as a nanny in the house of a suspected criminal. It is while he is in this role that the bingo aspect is introduced.

Big Momma and the kids he is taking care of go to a retirement home where he is investigating a mystery surrounding the residents. In this place, he participates in the daily bingo games and ends up winning every game he plays.

In one of the scenes, Big Momma helps one of the residents cheat, creating one of the funniest scenes in the movie.
The movie bridges the gap between the love for bingo by the older and younger generations. The movie shows that even the younger generations can develop a liking for the game even as Big Momma takes the children he is babysitting to the bingo sessions.

The Simpsons/h2>
This animated TV series has been among the most-running television shows in the history of TV. The show has two episodes that feature bingo.

One of the episodes features Lisa, one of Homer’s children, when on a trip to Springfield Retirements Castle. Lisa befriends one of the residents, Jasper, who introduces him to bingo in the retirement home.

Lisa is intrigued by the game and thoroughly enjoys it. She even thinks that she might have a chance to win the jackpot.
The 2014 episode involves a funny scene where the elderly players do not understand whatever is happening. However, the scene still stereotypes bingo as a game for the elderly.

In the scene, the caller announces ball I-25, to which a player asks, “Which letter?” Another elderly player asks, “Which number?” while another asks, “Which game?”
This scene and other scenes from the episode evoke much laughter courtesy of this age-old game. It is a great thing to see such a popular show acknowledging such a popular game.

Grandma’s Boy/h2>
This is a timeless classic that begins with 35-year-old Alex, who is kicked out of his apartment and forced to move in with his grandmother. The movie is full of fun, including a scene where three grandmothers accidentally drink a pot of what they think is tea but is more ‘pot’ than tea.

In one scene that involves bingo, Alex goes to a bingo game with his grandmother and her friends. The only reason Alex goes out of the house is because it is driving him crazy, but he ends up winning $18,000.

It is just funny how a newbie would show up once and win such a big jackpot. That would make you run crazy.

Bad Grandpa/h2>
This is a comedy film about Johnny Knoxville who goes undercover by turning himself into a grandpa using prosthetics. Johnny acts as an old man who has taken charge of taking his grandson to his father’s house.

Bad Grandpa involves real-life pranks with real stunts and real reactions made on unsuspecting bystanders. One of the notable pranks in the film involves a bingo scene.
In this scene, Johnny is playing a game of bingo and then starts drinking ink from a bingo marker. The other players are dumbfounded and are even freaked out since Knoxville continues as if nothing has even happened.

Conclusion/h2>
The game of bingo has become among the most popular games worldwide because of the social interactions and the fun it brings. This game has gone on to provide some of the best scenes in TV shows and movies.
Movies like Big Momma’s House 2, Bad Grandpa, Grandma’s Boy and The Simpsons have become comedy classics that will forever be embedded in the minds of the viewers.
