Oscar-nominated actor Andra Day has been tapped to play Athena, the Greek Goddess of Wisdom and Annabeth鈥檚 mom, in the upcoming second season of Disney+鈥檚 Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The casting was revealed at D23 in Brazil with a video of Day in character posted across the show鈥檚 social media accounts.
Guest star Day is joining new recurring cast Tamara Smart as Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus, and Daniel Diemer as Percy鈥檚 half brother Tyson, as well as returning series regulars Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, and Dior Goodjohn.
