90 Day Fiance: The Other Way CA ReviewsThe latest episode of 90 Day FiancĂ©: The Other Way showcased some of the most frustrating and head-scratching moments yet. From Tata’s constant crying and unrealistic expectations of James, to Joanne and Sean hiding their marriage from her kids for two years, it’s hard to ignore the red flags flying high this season. Meanwhile, Shekinah and Sarper’s exhausting drama around yet another nose job, and Josh and Lily’s disastrous lack of communication only add to the chaos. While some couples are clearly struggling to make things work, others are teetering on the brink of collapse, making for an intense and, at times, maddening episode. Let's Dive into the drama.
Tata and James
Oh boy, where do we even begin with Tata? It's hard to feel too sympathetic when she’s constantly in tears and forcing James into an impossible situation. The man can’t even find a job in Indonesia, but Tata insists he stays there because—what?—no doctor in the U.S. could figure out her thyroid issue? Come on! It’s laughable and feels like she’s making excuses to trap James in a life that doesn’t work for him. The sheer immaturity of constantly crying to get her way is exhausting, and while James seems patient for now, this dynamic is totally unfair and unsustainable. Tata needs to be more realistic, not just about her health but about the massive burden she’s placing on James by not being flexible.
Joanne and Sean
I agree, Joanne and Sean have one of the more genuine love stories, but wow, hiding their marriage from their kids for two years? That’s just wrong. Joanne is essentially abandoning her son, Joey, to move to Ireland for part of the year, and of course he’s upset. He’s right to feel betrayed because she kept such a massive secret from him. It’s not just the secrecy, but the fact that she’s trying to justify her move as something that won’t affect her relationship with her kids. The reality is, she’s choosing her new life over her old one, and that’s hard for any kid to accept. Trying to paint it in a more positive light only makes it worse because it's pretty obvious she's leaving Joey behind for the sake of her new relationship.
Shekinah and Sarper
If I have to hear about Shekinah's nose job one more time, I might scream. The woman is addicted to plastic surgery and now she’s blaming her messed-up nose on the last one? Maybe it’s time to stop with the unnecessary procedures. And Sarper's possessiveness is off the charts. Drawing on her nose? Really? These two are so exhausting, and their drama is getting more absurd by the episode. Their storylines have been dragging, and frankly, the constant back-and-forth about superficial things makes them one of the least interesting couples this season. They need to step off the stage; we’re over it.
Josh and Lily
Josh and Lily are a walking disaster when it comes to communication, and it’s mind-blowing that they’re going through with a wedding in China when they clearly have no idea how to talk to each other. Josh is such a bum, and watching him fumble through every conversation is painful. The fact that his brother, who clearly has all the sense, had to step in as a mediator says everything. If you need your brother to manage your relationship, maybe you’re the issue, Josh! Lily deserves so much better than this, but she seems blinded by the idea of making it work. They’re setting themselves up for failure, and it’s hard to watch knowing it’s just a matter of time before everything falls apart.
This episode really highlighted how some of these relationships are skating on the thinnest of ice. While a few couples have genuine love, like Joanne and Sean (despite the secrecy), others are seriously misguided—whether it’s due to lack of communication, misplaced expectations, or downright immaturity. Buckle up, because things are only going to get messier!
