Press Release
Netflix has decided to cancel Dead Boy Detectives, the DC Comics-inspired series, after just one season. The decision comes four months after the show's first and only season premiered on April 25.
The series, inspired by DC Comics characters created by Neil Gaiman, Matt Wagner, and Malcolm Jones III, starred George Rexstrew and Jayden Revri as Edwin Payne and Charles Rowland, respectively. These two teenagers, born in different eras, meet in the afterlife and form a bond as they solve mysteries together. As the heart and soul of the Dead Boy Detectives agency, Edwin and Charles would do anything to stay united, even if it meant escaping from evil witches, Hell, and Death herself. With the assistance of a clairvoyant named Crystal (played by Kassius Nelson) and her friend Niko (Yuyu Kitamura), they tackled some of the most puzzling paranormal cases in the mortal world.
