Rotimi, known for his role as Dre on Starz's Power, is set for a heavily recurring role in the upcoming seventh season of The Chi. He will portray Charles, Pastor Ezekiel’s (played by Daniel J. Watts) former assistant who returns to the church seeking a second chance. Charles was introduced in the Season 6 finale, and Rotimi's character will continue to develop in a multi-episode arc in Season 7.
The Chi, created and executive produced by Lena Waithe and executive produced by Common, focuses on a group of residents on the South Side of Chicago who become linked by coincidence and bonded by their need for connection and redemption.
