Press Release

The live-action "Halo" series has been canceled at Paramount+ after airing two seasons. The series, based on the popular Xbox video game franchise, premiered in 2022 with its second season running from February to March 2024. Paramount+ confirmed the cancellation, expressing pride in the ambitious series and gratitude to its partners and crew, including showrunner and executive producer David Wiener and lead actor Pablo Schreiber, who portrayed Master Chief.

Despite the cancellation, Xbox, Amblin TV, and 343 Industries plan to shop the series to other outlets. 343 Industries expressed their appreciation for the show's fans and commitment to expanding the "Halo" universe in other ways.

The series featured a cast including Natascha McElhone, Jen Taylor, Bokeem Woodbine, Shabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive Gray, Yerin Ha, Bentley Kalu, Kate Kennedy, Charlie Murphy, and Danny Sapani. The story was set in the 26th century, focusing on humanity's war with the Covenant, an alliance of alien races with shared religious fanaticism, and centered on the character Master Chief John-117, a genetically enhanced super soldier.
