It is hard to believe that we are already at the end of the fall season and that the spring/summer shows will be starting soon. Before that happens we have to wrap up a pretty solid season on Abbott Elementary. The season definitely was a rollercoaster of emotions all leading up to the season finale this Wednesday at 9pm on ABC.
Entitled “Party” the last episode is poised to give us some type of resolution between Janine and Gregory (hopefully). The end of the year always offers up a big moment. We have seen these two characters kiss and say sike before so another kiss is not too far fetched. After all they both know, thanks to Jacob, that the other wants more. Although at the playground Ava and Morton did a great job at leaving them with doubts about dating a coworker.

In “Party” it is the last day of school and ahead of summer vacation, Janine throws the perfect end-of-year party for her colleagues and friends, taking all their interests into consideration. There is plenty to go wrong at this party. As I mentioned a kiss is not too far fetched but the question is a kiss between which characters. Will Manny kiss Janine or will it be Gregory finally taking a leap of faith?
We cannot forget about Jacob’s love life. He has a new man and a new roommate in Melissa. Will they continue to live together and have their friendship strengthen? They are the pair I never knew I needed until it was given to me. A jealous Barbara would make for an interesting dynamic leading into the new season.

Ava’s one sided rivalry between her and Janine leads me to believe that is her main reason she does not want Gregory and Janine together seeing how she was crushing on him since day one. Let’s be glad that some of her attention at least is focused on taking down her sorority sister Crystal.
Should something spicy happen between Janine and anyone at her party, I am sure Mr. Johnson will be in the shadows watching it all unfold. This party will prove to be most eventful, giving everyone something to talk about when they return to school the following year.
