NBC has decided to keep the gavel banging, renewing its "Night Court" sequel for a third season, as confirmed by NBC. This upcoming season is set for an 18-episode run. In this revival of the classic 1984-92 sitcom, Melissa Rauch stars as Judge Abby Stone, taking over the night court reins in New York City from her late father, Harry Stone (originally played by Harry Anderson). John Larroquette returns to his role as attorney Dan Fielding, now the night court’s public defender. The series also features India de Beaufort as prosecutor Olivia and Lacretta as bailiff Gurgs.
