The Shows That Will End in 2024

Apr 26, 2024

It may seem like there are many TV shows out there that might outlive fans. But the truth is some might come to an abrupt end for different reasons. From budget cuts and financial issues to low ratings, anything can happen in the entertainment world. Producers can also choose to end the shows early and avoid overstretching stories. Long series are risky and can lead to low rates.
However, making the decision to end a series is not at all easy, especially as in the case of some examples mentioned in this article, which are still achieving great audience results. It's as risky a moment as when you decide to stand up from a blackjack games table after a good run: you can prolong it and lose all your winnings, or you can end it early, but with your streak intact.

Here are some shows that will be ending in 2024.
-Blue Blood.
-Curb Your Enthusiasm
-Good Heart, Abishola.
-Young Sheldon.

Blue Blood

Blue Blood, a popular TV series about American police enforcing the law in New York City will soon be coming to an end. The series has been airing on CBS since 2010, and in February 2024, it started its 14th season, which also happens to be its last.
Financial issues and budget cuts are reasons why the beloved series will be ending. The series has enjoyed high ratings and great success for the past fifteen years.

Curb Your Enthusiasm

Curb Your Enthusiasm is another show that’s coming to an end. Larry David created the American sitcom that premiered on October 15, 2000 and from there, it has been an impressive success story.
It was nominated 47 times for Emmy Awards as an outstanding comedy series and won the 2002 Golden Globe award in the best TV series category. After achieving all this success, Lary David decided to end the show after season 12.

Bob Hearts Abishola

On May 13, Bob Hearts Abishola, an American TV sitcom about a businessman who falls in love with his nurse, will be taking its final bow. After some behind-the-scenes changes, the decision to end the show wasn’t a surprise.

The announcement was made at the beginning of its fifth season in November 2023, and cast members had to take pay cuts. Although they were disappointed, they acknowledged that sometimes these situations are unavoidable.
The creator of the sitcom Chuck Lorre also produces other TV shows, such as Bookie, which premieres in November.

Young Sheldon

Young Sheldon will be ending on May 16. The show is about a child genius, Sheldon Cooper who is socially impaired and meets some unique challenges. The child embarks on an awkward but hopeful journey toward manhood.

The series premiered in 2017 and became a hit, but it will end after season seven because of the predetermined story in Big Bang Theory. The Big Bang Theory is the parent show to Young Sheldon and many people loved it in 2007 when it premiered until its last episode in 2019. The executive producer of Young Sheldon —Steve Holland explained that it was time for the show to conclude. It has been a success and has gained its own audience on CBS and Netflix. The seventh season will run for 14 episodes until the last one in May.
