Press Release
"The Rookie" will remain on duty, as TVLine reports that the popular ABC procedural has been renewed for a seventh season.
To date this season, the series, led by Nathan Fillion, has been pulling in more than 6 million viewers and a 0.6 demographic rating, considering delayed viewing. These figures are slightly down from its fifth season, despite the show now being in a more challenging timeslot. "The Rookie" is positioned between the new Tuesday night starter "Will Trent" and the concluding season of "The Good Doctor."
Among the six dramas that ABC has broadcast this TV season, "The Rookie" ranks third in both total viewers and demographic measures, following only "9-1-1" and "Will Trent" in audience size, and "9-1-1" and "Grey’s Anatomy" in the demographic.
