Press Release
CBS has decided not to renew the mother-son legal drama "So Help Me Todd," starring Skylar Astin and Marcia Gay Harden, after two seasons, as reported by TVLine. Additionally, "CSI: Vegas" will not be returning for a fourth season.

To date, "So Help Me Todd" has maintained an average of 6.2 million viewers and a 0.5 demographic rating, which mirrors its debut season's performance. Among the 14 dramas CBS has aired this TV season, it ranks last in total viewers and only fares better than "CSI: Vegas" and the already-renewed "NCIS: Sydney" in the demographic.

TVLine previously noted that "So Help Me Todd" did not prepare for its finale to potentially serve as a series conclusion. Insiders revealed that the finale, scheduled to air right after a special two-episode sendoff of "Young Sheldon" on Thursday, May 16 at 9 PM, ends on a significant cliffhanger. With the show’s cancellation, a resolution now seems unlikely.

"CSI: Vegas," meanwhile, is pulling similar numbers with 6.2 million viewers and a 0.5 demographic rating, reflecting an 8% increase in viewers from last season and consistent demographic performance. However, it also ranks near the bottom in total viewers for the season, only doing slightly better than "NCIS: Sydney" in the demo ratings.

Originally airing on Thursday nights at 10 PM for its first two seasons, "CSI: Vegas" moved to a Sunday night slot for its third season, following "Tracker," the most-watched drama on TV. The final episode of "CSI: Vegas" is set to air on Sunday, May 19 at 10 PM.

Despite stable or improved ratings year-over-year for both "Todd" and "CSI: Vegas," CBS dramas overall have been outperforming, leading to some difficult decisions, as TVLine understands.
