Kaya Scodelario, known for her roles in films like The Maze Runner and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, as well as the British TV series Skins, will be starring in the limited series Senna, which will be available on Netflix. The series will depict the life of Brazilian Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna and will be filmed in Brazil and Argentina. Scodelario, whose mother is from Sao Paulo, will play a fictional character in the series, which will explore Senna's journey as a three-time Formula 1 champion, including his personal relationships and the tragic accident that occurred during the San Marino Grand Prix in 1994. The series is being produced by Brazilian company Gullane, with showrunner Vicente Amorim and directors Vicente Amorim and Julia Rezende. Scodelario expressed her excitement and honor to be part of a Brazilian production that tells the story of Ayrton Senna, a national hero loved by the people of Brazil and worldwide.
