For the fourth season of Superman & Lois, Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch will return as the title characters, alongside Michael Bishop, Alex Garfin and Michael Cudlitz, who is being promoted to a series regular. Seven series regulars from Season 3 will depart, but may guest star/recur in Season 4, subject to availability. The show is an expensive production due to its special effects, and the 10-episode Season 4 order likely reflects this. Superman & Lois is a family drama with superhero roots, and will likely lean more heavily into its core premise going forward.
