Nic Pizzolatto, creator of True Detective, is writing and executive producing The Magnificent Seven series reboot for Amazon Studios. The show follows an outlaw assembling a gang to defend a settlement of immigrant homesteaders against cattle barons in central Texas, and is executive produced by Mark Johnson, Lawrence Mirisch and Bruce Kaufman.
