This was a staff voting battle like we haven't seen in a while. All of the Top 3 secured their position by just a single point. Throughout voting, they flipped back and forth as to who was in the lead before Christina Applegate secured the spot in the final hours of voting. It is a deserving win for this extremely talented actress who has done incredible work portraying Jen Harding over the three seasons of this series. This episode gave her so much to work with on a deep emotional level that it was impossible to not be fully engaged with every single thing Jen was dealing with right along with the character. Watching Jen confront Judy (Linda Cardellini) at the police station was heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. These two actresses are a force to be reckoned with when they share the screen, but Applegate really stole the moment. The way she expressed Jen's feelings made it clear just how deeply Judy meant to her. But she also absolutely didn't let the lighter moments go to waste. This episode was a showcase for her that allowed her to show Jen's quirkier side right along with all the emotional stuff. She fully captured all the elements that made Jen Harding such a beloved character. Applegate is a gift to the acting industry and it goes without saying that we all hope she will beat MS into remission so that she can once again grace our screens with her talent. But, until that day comes, she left audiences with many amazing performances this season that she clearly gave her everything to in order to deliver such a poignant ending for her character. Not only was her performance more than worthy of recognition so is she as a person who continually gives so much of herself to constantly treat audiences to these rich multi-dimensional characters. Christina Applegate is SpoilerTV's November Staff Choice Performer of the Month.

After a fairly tame round of voting last month it was an all-out war for the Top 3 this month. Warrior Nun co-stars Alba Baptista and Kristina Tonteri-Young came out of the gate strong but constantly had Station 19's Stefania Spampinato on their trail. At brief moments in time, all three actresses each held the top spot. Finally, Baptista broke away from the pack and secured her win. Meanwhile, Tonteri-Young and Spampinato fiercely fought for the second spot quite literally right up until the poll closed. In the end, coming right down to the absolute wire, Tonteri-Young earned one single final vote that secured her the second spot as the poll closed. It was s truly fascinating battle involving thousands and thousands of votes. All of the nominees weren't to be dismissed either. They all had strong showings for amazing performances, but this was just a fierce brutal battle this month.

Alba Baptista is a fierce actress who intimately knows her character and has perfected her understanding of what makes Ava tick. It is that deep connection she has with Ava that allowed her to deliver what was easily one of the most memorable performances that many have seen this year. This whole episode for Ava was about acknowledging her duty as the Warrior Nun, accepting her fate, and acting on and for love. All elements that Baptista captured with refined acting precision. Everything Ava did was to protect humanity as a whole, but Beatrice (Kristina Tonteri-Young) played a big role in her decision-making. As was stunningly showcased during the big first kiss scene between the two characters. While the words written for Baptista to perform were smart and beautiful it was the heart and soul she infused into them that made the first teary-eyed kiss between these two such a profoundly powerful moment. Tonteri-Young was absolutely brilliant as well throughout this whole scene, but there is a reason the camera mostly maintained its focus on Baptista. This was what Ava felt was her one and only chance to let the woman she loves so deeply know how she felt. Baptista made every word, tear, and emotional tremble of her voice count. Then came the big showdown with Adriel (William Miller) and she showcased not just her acting prowess, but her immense physical skill by performing the fight sequences herself. As if she hadn't already done so much, then came Ava's final moments in Beatrice's arms and she ensured the audience knew without question Ava was critically wounded. The pain she expressed conveyed just how serious the situation was yet she made sure that Ava never lost her connection with Beatrice. Even with the character in so much pain, Baptista ensured that Ava's love shone through right down to Ava giving her final pained breaths to confess her love. Such a powerful performance from the start of the episode to the very end. She is, without question, a very worthy winner. Alba Baptista is SpoilerTV’s November Readers’ Choice Performer of the Month.
