STAFF RESULTS
This was a fairly straightforward round of voting with Yvonne Strahovski jumping to the lead very early on and never giving up the top spot despite some strong competition. Hanako Greensmith kept the pressure on Yvonne throughout the entire round, but in the end, Yvonne was able to hold her off to secure the win. A very deserved win at that, in an episode centered around her character she delivered a true tour-de-force performance. From her emotional journey with June (Elisabeth Moss) to her epic ending at the hospital, she delivered such deeply powerful performances throughout the entire episode that made her performance entirely unforgettable. She brilliantly showcased all the different aspects of her deeply complex character and did it with incredible acting prowess. This was certainly a performance worthy of this recognition. READER RESULTS
This was certainly a more typical round of voting than the prior month. Danielle Savre dominated during the nomination round and that did indeed translate into votes. She took the lead at the very start and nobody came even remotely near being able to catch her. There was a back-and-forth battle for second place early on between Stefania Spampinato and Jared Padalecki before Spampinato pulled ahead and easily secured a second-place finish. But this round without question belonged to Danielle Savre and deservedly so. This season has not been easy on her character, but it has given Savre some truly exceptional material to work with and she has been absolutely delivering top-notch performances every single episode. Depicting a character doing battle with mental health and past abuse is not an easy task for any performer, but she not only does it flawlessly, but she makes the audience feel every complex emotion that Maya is struggling with. Her performance in this episode and throughout the entire season has been truly outstanding and certainly makes her a very worthy winner. As the 2021 Readers' Choice Performer of the Year, this win sets her up with a chance to defend the title in January. Danielle Savre is SpoilerTV’s October Readers’ Choice Performer of the Month.
