The Reader turnout for this round of voting was incredible. The winner and runner-up battled for the top spot early on before the ultimate winner surged ahead never to be caught again. There was, however, a fierce fight between the rest of the Top 5 to make it into the exclusive top-ranking group. In total there were over 14,000 votes cast with all of the Top 5 performers receiving vote counts in the 4-digit range. Every performer nominated got at least 3 digits' worth of votes. This was a phenomenal group of nominees and the completely unexpected vote count proved just how incredible their performances in March were. On the Staff side, things were a little less eventful since the winner pulled ahead from the start and nobody ever came close to overtaking the lead.
Thank you to everyone who turned out to vote and participate this month. Also, a massive thanks to the over 1,000 of you who submitted comments for the winners, there were some incredible options for us to pick from. In the end, we could only use one entry for each of the Top 5, but it was hard to choose with so many very well-written submissions.
