Lucasfilm has put the highly-anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi series on hold as scripts are reworked, according to Collider. The Disney+ project was in pre-production and was expected to go into production this summer.
Rumors began hitting the web last week that the series had been canceled. While that’s not the case, it has certainly been delayed. The Obi-Wan Kenobi series was also expected to consist of six episodes, but The Hollywood Reporter adds that the episode count has now been cut down to four.
Hossein Amini (Drive) was writing the scripts and had written two so far, but Lucasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy was not happy with the story so far. Lucasfilm is now searching for a new writer to pen the series.
