It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - Season 14 - What I'm looking forward to

In less than three weeks the gang will be back on our screens for their 14th season and they’re bringing back the chaotic shenanigans we love to laugh at. Despite their many seasons on-air, the writers and creators of the show still find ways to make this satirical comedy interesting. They manage to discuss current hot issues, all while portraying some of the worst traits of society in a way that’s funny to watch since the gang always fails.

The trailer for the new season dropped this Wednesday, and the gang was involved in several activities such as laser tag, visiting the zoo, a focus group, a black&white/noir style episode, the gang at dinner and the gang being chaotic at the bar (just your typical Wednesday).

As a big Sunny fan, I can’t wait to see the episodes because every single one has me laughing until my stomach hurts. I’m especially interested in the laser tag episode because the gang competing against each other and against other people (in this case, kids, as shown in the trailer) is a sure way to bring on the kind of chaos we are used to in past seasons, the kind that the show thrives on.

I also think there is a lot of potential for the noir episode, since this show has its cinematographic moments. Just like Mac Finds His Pride, with its beautiful cinematography during Mac’s coming out dance, I’m sure this episode won’t disappoint in that department.

Going back to the season 13 finale, I hope we get some kind of mention about Mac’s dance because I believe that episode is one of the most important ones of the entire show. In my opinion, too much happened in it to not have any mention or consequences later on. Maybe Mac will begin dating or get a boyfriend this season, and maybe we will get a mention of it in the season premiere. There’s plenty of potential for this idea, since the gang doesn’t do well when another person is added to their dynamic, and their reactions (and possible schemes to get rid of the poor guy) would be hilarious.

Speaking of dating, the first episode of the season is titled The Gang Gets Romantic, and judging by the synopsis the gang’s schemes for the episode backfired on them. Who did Charlie and Frank’s ad attract? What about Mac and Dennis’ apartment?

Let me know in the comments what your theories are for this season, and you can read the synopsis for the first two episodes and watch the season’s promo below!
