Lizzie McGuire - Hilary Duff to Return for Disney+ Sequel Series

Hilary Duff (Younger) will return to star in Disney+'s Lizzie McGuire sequel series per Deadline. It is unclear if any of the other cast members of the Disney Channel series will return for the sequel.

The series hails from Terri Minsky, the original creator behind the Disney hit, which is the first project under Minsky's overall deal.

Lizzie McGuire (Duff) is now a 30-year-old millennial navigating life in New York City. Like the original series, the series will feature the familiar animated young Lizzie who offers up funny and revealing commentary on what 30-year-old Lizzie is really thinking.

Under a waiver granted by TV Land/Viacom, Duff will be able to do both Younger and Lizzie McGuire.
