Drew Van Acker (Pretty Little Liars) has joined the cast of DC Universe's Titans for the upcoming second season. It is unclear if this is a series regular or (recurring) guest starring role but it's likely it'll be the latter similar to Donna Troy's role in Season 1. Acker will take on the role of Aqualad aka Garth (Tempest).
Per TVInsider, the character is described as "a founding member of the Titans and Aquaman's eager sidekick" who was also born in Atlantis and is a member of the royal court who trained under Aquaman to be a protector of life in and out of the ocean. In the series, Garth "would eventually step out from the shadow of his mentor to become his own hero as a Titan along with many other former sidekicks."
Van Acker joins a large new cast for Season 2 featuring Esai Morales (Deathstroke), Chella Man (Jericho), Chelsea T. Zhang (Ravager), Joshua Orpin (Superboy), Iain Glen (Bruce Wayne) and Natalie Gumede (Mercy Graves). Curran Walters (Jason Todd) was also promoted to a series regular.
Season 2 of Titans will debut this fall on DC Universe.
