Per deadline, ABC will not be moving forward with the current iteration of the NYPD Blue reboot pilot. Instead, the pilot will be tweaked and will likely undergo some reshoots for midseason consideration, as the network remains high on the project.
The sequel centers on Theo (Fabien Frankel), the son of Dennis Franz’s Detective Andy Sipowicz character from the original series, who tries to earn his detective shield and work in the 15th squad while investigating his father’s murder.
