Per THR, Scott Wold is replacing Friddie Prinze Jr. in CW's recently ordered Nancy Drew. Sources say producers wanted to go on a different direction and the split was amicable.
Wolf will take over the role of Carson Drew, the father of the Nancy Drew played by Kennedy McMann in a potentially breakout role. The character is described an attorney who has become estranged from his daughter after the death of his wife. His relationship with Nancy is thrown into disarray when the sleuth's murder investigation reveals secrets from his past.
