Shay Mitchell (You, Pretty Little Liars) has been cast to star in Hulu's Dollface, an upcoming 10-episode comedy series starring Kat Dennings and Brenda Song, per Deadline.
Mitchell takes on the lead role of Stella Cole replacing Lex Scott Davis, who was originally tapped to star alongside Brenda Song. Details for the recasting have not been revealed. Jordan Weiss (Harley Quinn) penned the series.
Dollface follows a young woman (Dennings) who – after being dumped by her longtime boyfriend – must deal with her own imagination in order to literally and metaphorically re-enter the world of women, and rekindle the female friendships she left behind.
Esther Povitsky (Alone Together) also stars in the Hulu comedy series that hails from writer Jordan Weiss, ABC Signature Studios and producers Margot Robbie and Brett Hedblom from LuckyChap Entertainment and Bryan Unkeless and Scott Morgan from Clubhouse Pictures (I Tonya) with Kat Dennings executive producing.
