Miranda Richardson (Good Omens, Damage, Tom & Viv, Curfew) has joined the cast of HBO's Game of Thrones prequel pilot from Jane Goldman and George R.R. Martin per Deadline. As per usual her character details are being kept under wraps.
Richardson joins previously announced cast: Naomi Watts, Josh Whitehouse, Naomi Ackie, Denise Gough, Jamie Campbell Bower, Sheila Atim, Ivanno Jeremiah, Georgie Henley, Alex Sharp and Toby Regbo.
Taking place thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones, the series chronicles the world's descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. From the horrifying secrets of Westeros's history to the true origin of the White Walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend, only one thing is for sure: It's not the story we think we know.
Jane Goldman and George R.R. Martin serve as the creators of the prequel with Goldman set to showrun. SJ Clarkson (The Defenders, Jessica Jones, Succession) will direct the pilot.
