CBS has given pilot orders to three multi-camera comedies per Variety.

The Emperor of Malibu hails from Kevin Kwan, the author of Crazy Rich Asians, David Sangalli (Untitled Kevin Kwan/Amazon TV Project), Michelle Nader (2 Broke Girls, Kath & Kim), Christina Lee (Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later, Search Party), Danielle Stokdyk (iZombie, Veronica Mars, Play It Again, Dick) and Warner Bros. TV. Michelle Nader and Christina Lee will serve as co-showrunners. Kwan and Sangalli will pen the multi-camera comedy pilot.

When the son of a Chinese billionaire announces his engagement to an American woman, his outrageous family descends upon the couple to win their son back and test drive the American dream.

The Unicorn hails from Bill Martin (Fam, Living Biblically, Trial & Error), Mike Schiff (Fam, Malibu Country), Aaron Kaplan (A Million Little Things, Fam, The Chi) and Dana Honor (A Million Little Things, Tell Me A Story) of Kapital Entertainment, Wendi Trilling (Fam, 9JKL), Peyton Reed (Ant-Man) and CBS Television Studios. Bill Martin and Mike Schiff will pen the multi-camera comedy pilot. Deadline notes The Unicorn was originally a single-camera comedy but is being turned into a multi-camera pilot.

The Unicorn is about a widower who is eager to move on from the most difficult year of his life. He realizes that he’s utterly unprepared to raise his two daughters on his own and equally unprepared for the dating world where, to his shock, he’s suddenly a hot commodity.

Our House hails from Brendan O'Brien (Neighbors, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates), Nick Stoller (Friends from College, The Carmichael Show, The Grinder), Conor Welch, Sony Pictures Television in association with CBS Television Studios. O'Brien will pen the multi-camera/hybrid comedy pilot.

Our House follows a devoted mom and dad who are committed to raising their children with the love and support the mom never got as a kid but discover how difficult that is with her insane parents and siblings back in the picture.
