Deadline has revealed that The CW has officially wrapped their pilot orders with Batwoman, Katy Keene (the Riverdale spinoff), Jane the Novela (the Jane the Virgin spinoff), The Lost Boys, Nancy Drew, and Glamorous.
Deadline notes that the 3 projects not ordered to pilot (The 4400, The L.A. Complex and Good Christian Bitches) are not dead but will instead be rolled into next season, "something the CW President Mark Pedowitz does with IP he believes in." A similar method was used for Charmed which was recently renewed for a 2nd season. Even The Lost Boys is getting a chance with a pilot order during this current pilot season.
The 4400: script could not be finished and delivered on time for this pilot cycle. Deadline highlights that Craig Sweeny and Taylor Elmore are currently busy with CBS' The Code and Blood & Treasure, midseason and summer series that "interfered with their availability to work on The 4400"
The L.A. Complex: I hear the reasons were largely due to the numbers game involved in each round of pilot orders by the CW from CBS TV Studios and Warner Bros TV. The CW has ordered 6 pilots this season, three from WB and 3 from CBS TV.
Good Christian Bitches: The CW remains high on the IP and will "start from scratch and take another stab at it" next season.
