After a hilarious and emotionally draining season, Good Girls left us with a stunning cliffhanger and much more TV to be desired for. And after seeing the first 6 episodes of the second season I can say a lot has changed but at the same time it hasn't. The show keeps up its fluffy characters, with sharp lines and edgy storytelling on the line of believability.
Meanwhile, Annie`s shenanigans and relationship with Greg gets once again tested. While Annie is and probably make my number one spot of the girls she brings in the laughs and her carefree nature is what gives the show a lot of balance.
Once again Retta and her interpretation of Ruby`s road is one exceptional trip that highlights the whole episode. The scenes Reta and Reno share throughout are engaging and reflect well on the struggle the girls go through. The strain their relationship suffers after last seasons reveal just deepens their relationship, the storytelling and opens up the shows vers, cause Stan ain`t happy that´s for sure. Retta rises to the material she gets and as much as she wants to contain her marriage but sticks to her girls.
One thing that hasn`t changed is that Leslie & Mary Pat are just as sleazy and barfable as you remember them.
I hope this short preview worked for you, and I am sure I will be able to share more in the upcoming weeks but for now that's it. Are you excited for the return of the worst Good Girls ever? The trio returns this Sunday on NBC 10/9 Central, just after World of Dance.
