Ben J. Pierce (Fuller House) aka Miss Benny has been tapped to star in The CW's Glamorous pilot per The Hollywood Reporter. Additionally, Pierson Fodé (The Bold and the Beautiful, Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List, Jessie) has joined the cast per THR joining previously announced cast members Brooke Shields and Jade Payton who were revealed by Deadline last week (which was also posted in the casting newsreel).
The drama hails from Damon Wayans Jr., Two Shakes Entertainment, Jordon Nardino (Star Trek Discovery, Quantico, Smash, GCB) and CBS TV Studios. Nardino will pen the pilot directed by Eva Longoria. Michael Rauch (Instinct) also joined the project as an executive producer with the casting of the lead.
Glamorous centers on a gender non-conforming recent high school graduate who lands the gig of a lifetime interning at a cosmetics company whose products he panned on YouTube.
Pierson Fodé will play Chad. An ambitious alpha male who works at the cosmetics company his mother Madolyn founded who styles himself as her heir apparent. While openly gay, Chad is buttoned down and unsophisticated, with a personality and wardrobe that would be more at home on Wall Street than the beauty industry.
Jade Payton will portray Venetia, an ambitious young clotheshorse who serves as Madolyn’s trusted personal assistant. Venetia is cool, smart and savvy – and deeply connected with Chicago's queer community and nightlife, with her finger on the pulse of who and what is happening in the underground scene.
