Julian McMahon (Marvel's Runaways) has been cast to star as the lead in CBS' FBI spinoff, FBI: Most Wanted, per Deadline.
The project, which is airing as a backdoor pilot during FBI in the spring, has a series commitment making it a likely series order. McMahon will star in the backdoor pilot as Jess LaCroix.
FBI: Most Wanted follows the department of the FBI tasked with tracking and capturing the criminals on its Most Wanted list.
Jess LaCroix is described as an "agent's agent" who at the top of his game, and oversees the team from the FBI's Most Wanted Unit, which is assigned the most extreme and egregious cases.

The series hails from Dick Wolf (Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Chicago Med, Chicago Justice, FBI), Rene Balcer (Law & Order True Crime, FBI, Law & Order), Peter Jankowski, Arthur W. Forney, Universal Television and CBS TV Studios. Wolf and Balcer will pen the script together as well as executive produce. Fred Berner (Law & Order, Chicago PD, Chicago Med, FBI) will direct the episode.
