Li Jun Li (The Exorcist, Quantico, Chicago PD, Minority Report) has joined the cast of Netflix's Wu Assassins per Deadline.
Written by John Wirth (Hap and Leonard, Hell on Wheels, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles), who also serves as the showrunner, Wu Assassins is a martial arts crime series with supernatural elements set in San Francisco's Chinatown. Iko Uwais stars as Kai Jin, who becomes the latest and last Wu Assassin, chosen to round up the powers of an ancient triad and restore balance once again.
Additionally, Uwais is also a producer as well as the lead martial arts and fight choreographer and stunt coordinator. Stephen Fung (Into the Badlands) will direct the first two episodes.
Li will take on the series regular role of Jenny Wah, who on the surface, is a confident young businesswoman with an MBA. Scratch the surface, the noisy wheels of ambition crank a darker nature, and the need to overcompensate.
Li joins previously announced cast members, Iko Uwais, Byron Mann, Katheryn Winnick, Lewis Tan, Tommy Flanagan, Tzi Ma, JuJu Chan, Mark Dacascos, Lawrence Kao and Celia Au.
