At the outset, voting this month shaped up to be a battle between fan favorites Sam Heughan of Outlander and Goran Visnjic of Timeless. Much like they rallied to get their show a fitting finale, the fans of Timeless banded behind Visnjic to take him to victory. His victory is the end of a full circle journey for his character of Garcia Flynn. In the show’s first season he was set up to be the villain, but as the show progressed viewers were shown there were many more layers to Flynn. And, in the finale, The Miracle of Christmas, Visnjic gives Flynn a heroic sendoff, completing his redemption from villain to hero. Visnjic has been a standout throughout the series but in this masterful performance, he takes this complicated character through a myriad of emotions. His character makes the ultimate sacrifice for the team and to preserve time, a most appropriate sendoff for Flynn. For his stunning work in the series finale of Timeless, Visnjic has deservedly earned the title of Spoiler TV Reader’s Choice Performer of the Month for December.
For most of the voting period it was a close and fierce battle the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s Rachel Brosnahan, Supergirl’s Chyler Leigh, and The Good Place’s D’Arcy Carden. Ultimately Carden emerged victorious as the SpoilerTV Staff Choice Performer of the Month for December. Her winning performance was a tour de force for Carden as she portrayed not one but ultimately five different characters a la Orphan Black. She expertly captured the essence of not only her own character of Janet and her alter ego, Bad Janet, but perfectly nailed each of her fellow co-stars in their trip to Janet’s void. This was an ambitious episode and for it to work Carden had to deliver the performance of her life and she definitely did. For this amazing work, she has earned the title of SpoilerTV Staff Choice Performer of the Month for December.

This is the final round of voting for the 2018 cycle of POTM. The winner from this poll will go on to join all the prior winners from 2018 in our Performer Of The Year contest to determine who is the Readers' Choice Performer of 2018. That poll will go up on Saturday, January 12th at 6 pm ET, the day after this poll ends.
Please note that there was a tie in nominations regarding the Top 5 actresses, so there are 11 nominees instead of the usual 10.
