New York Undercover & Woman Up - Cop Drama Reboot & Comedy Receive Pilot Orders from ABC

Pilot ShowsABC has given pilot orders to cop drama reboot, New York Undercover and comedy, Woman Up per Deadline.
New York Undercover is described as a modern reboot of the 1990 Dick Wolf series. The project is expected to feature some original cast members reprising their roles, much like ABC's other reboot cop drama pilot, NYPD Blue. The pilot hails from Dick Wolf (Chicago Fire, PD, Med, FBI), Ben Watkins (Hand of God, Burn Notice), Wolf Films, Universal TV and ABC Studios. Anthony Hemingway (Underground, American Crime Story) will direct the pilot with Watkins penning the pilot based on a story by Wolf and himself. The pilot begins filming in New York in early March.
New York Undercover picks up 20 years after the original series ended. It'll follow detectives Nat Gilmore and Melissa Ortiz as they investigate the city's most dangerous criminals from Harlem to Battery Park. Some cast members from the original series are expected to reprise their roles.
Woman Up is a single-camera comedy from Zoe Lister-Jones (Life In Pieces), Liz Meriwether (Single Parents, New Girl, Bless This Mess), Jason Winer (Life in Pieces, Single Parents) and 20th Century Fox TV. The pilot will be written by Lister-Jones.
Woman Up is the story about two former teen moms who have worked their asses off to see their daughters all the way through high school graduation. And now, at 35, they're ready to make up for the youth they never had.
