Guess who returned once again to annoy Sheldon some more? Paige! She and Missy discover that they actually enjoy each other’s company. That’s why Paige ends up at the Coopers
' for a sleepover. Sheldon is rather outraged that Paige behaves like a usual ten-year-old child. She plays ridiculous games with Missy and the girls even decide to have a picnic outside like a couple of hippies! In the evening the girls keep Sheldon up with their giggling. They build a blanket fort and invite Sheldon to join them. Unsurprisingly, he declines. Thereafter, Missy calls him an old man and Paige points out that people who had a stunted childhood often become social misfits and weirdos.
Adult Sheldon: “We know how this story ends. I grew up to become a well-adjusted and charming fellow. But at that moment in time, she had me worried.“
Sheldon looks it up in the library and finds out that Paige was indeed right with what she said about people with stunted childhoods. He decides that he does not want to turn into a “weirdo“ and intends to act more childish from now on. He even tries to be especially adventurous and joins Missy on the swing set. He ends up puking on his sister.
After that he decides to do something less nerve-racking. He goes to a store and asks for some practical joke paraphernalia. And guess what the name of the company is that produces these paraphernalia? BAZINGA!
He then proceeds to play lame practical pranks on his family members which he tops off with a vigorous “BAZINGA“. His father is rather confused by this sudden change of behavior.
George: You understand any of that?
Mary: I don't know, I guess he's just being a little boy.
George: Since when?

Adult Sheldon: And that's how I became the madcap prankster all my friends know and love.
While Sheldon is trying to act like the 10-year-old society wants him to be, Connie is trying to teach Prof. Sturgis how to drive. John may have many talents but driving is not one of them. There are simply “too many random elements“ for him. “The stimuli are overwhelming“. Even with Connie as his teacher, he does not manage to get the hang of it and soon decides to give up. For Connie, that’s okay because she loves him whether he can drive or not… Oops, she did not actually mean to say that out loud. Sturgis, however, does not mind. On the contrary. He reciprocates her declaration.
