NOTE: If you haven't watched the first season of Narcos: Mexico, don't read further, it contains spoilers on a major character death and final episode plot reveals.
Production on the recently renewed series, Narcos: Mexico is currently filming in Mexico City. Netflix has revealed that Diego Luna (Rogue One) & Scoot McNairy (Halt and Catch Fire) will star in the second season of the Narcos spinoff.
Luna played Félix Gallardo, El Padrino ("The Godfather"), the leader of the Guadalajara cartel, who was revealed to have manipulated the Mexican government and police so that he could continue his reign per The Hollywood Reporter.
McNairy served as the narrator of Season 1 and wasn't seen until the final episodes last moments, which revealed him to be playing Agent Walt Breslin. Walt Breslin will lead a task force to indict those responsible for fellow Agent Kiki Camarena's (Michael Peña) death.
