Paul James (The Path, The Last Ship, Greek) has been cast to star in Netflix's Mixtape, a 10-episode musical drama series written by Josh Safran (Smash, Quantico, Gossip Girl) per Deadline. The series hails from Annapurna Pictures in association with 20th Century Fox Television and Fox 21 Television Studios.
We all have our own soundtracks. Mixtape is a romantic musical drama that looks at the love stories connecting a diverse, disparate group of people in contemporary Los Angeles through the music that lives inside their hearts and minds.
The project, originally a pilot at FOX had the role of Sam played by Raul Castillo, when it was passed on and then picked up by Netflix, the role was recast, Paul James will take on that role.
James will star as Sam is an aspiring songwriter, secret romantic and young widower who will do anything for his son.
