HBO is developing a drama with Taylor Kitsch (Waco, True Detective) attached to star per Deadline. The project hails from writers John Barcheski (Sons of Anarchy, The Bastard Executioner) and Robert Munic (Ice, Empire), HBO and Entertainment One (eOne).

Matt Shakman (Game of Thrones, The Good Wife, Fargo) is attached to direct. Kitsch, Shakman, Barcheski and Munic will executive produce the potential series.

Kitsch will star as Chris Klug in the drug dealer drama that is being penned by John Barcheski and Robert Munic. Munic will serve as the showrunner on the series created by Barcheski.

The untitled drama follows the story of Chris Klug (Kitsch), a young, family oriented, drug dealer who catches the wrong end of a bad batch of dope that leaves him in a temporary vegetative state, only to discover that it was no accident and someone close to him was in fact trying to take him out. Told through flashbacks and Chris' present-day purgatory, the series is a rich family drama full of revenge, love and humor as Chris Klug fights his way back.
