Warner Bros. TV will investigate allegations of abusive behavior made against Black Lightning and Love Is executive producer Salim Akil.
The Hollywood Reporter has learned the studio will interview cast and crew members of the two shows after Akil was sued for domestic violence and breach of contract by actress and writer Amber Dixon Brenner.

The episode is written by Jim Strain and directed by Timothy Busfield. Burke, who is married to McRaney in real-life, plays Ellie Holder, Tom’s girlfriend, and Reid portrays Kendal Hooks, Tom’s best friend.

Joaquim Dos Santos, known for his work on cartoon series Avatar: The Last Airbender and more recently, Netflix’s Voltron series, has been tapped to direct the sequel.
Lauren Montgomery, who also worked on Voltron and co-directed animated movies Batman: Year One and Superman/Batman: Apocalypse for DC, is in negotiations to helm an untitled Spider-centric project that will gather the female heroes in the Spider-Man universe of characters in one adventure. Bek Smith, who wrote episodes of CBS show Zoo, will pen the script.
Otherworld - Supernatural Drama in Development at CBS
Brothers Brian and Mark Gunn are developing a one-hour supernatural drama, titled Otherworld at CBS. CBS Television Studios will produce.
The project is titled “Otherworld.” After discovering that she has the ability to communicate with spirits, a young woman is drawn into the world of the paranormal where she partners with a rag-tag team of eccentric ghost hunters to investigate hauntings and help the dead find the closure they need to cross over to the other side.

Kail, Levenson, Miranda, Fields, Rockwell, Williams and George Stelzner are Executive Producers of the limited series that is produced by Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions.? Levenson, who will serve as showrunner, wrote the premiere episode which will be directed by Kail.? Actress, dancer and producer Nicole Fosse, and daughter of Fosse and Verdon, serves as Co-Executive Producer and oversees The Verdon Fosse Legacy.
