Co-written by Whitney Cummings and Lee Daniels, the half-hour comedy revolves around the staff of the Ombudsman’s office at a college that navigates PC culture and the #metoo climate. The lead character, played by Cummings, must reconcile the dissonance between different generations of feminism, and the struggle to reconcile our primal desires, and socially constructed identities with current ethical obligations regarding race, class, and gender. Cummings will star in the project per Deadline.

MOVIES: Charlie’s Angels - Noah Centineo Joins Cast
Noah Centineo (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, The Fosters) will be playing the love interest of one of the Angels.
Elizabeth Banks is directing the reboot and starring as one of the Bosley characters. Patrick Stewart and Djimon Hounsou will play the other two Bosleys. Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska will star as the film’s Angels. Jonathan Tucker, Sam Claflin, and Luis Gerardo Mendez round out the cast.

CBS Producer Brad Kern Fired
"We have ended Brad Kern's role as consulting producer on NCIS: New Orleans and his overall deal with the studio," a spokesperson for CBS Television Studios said in a statement provided exclusively to The Hollywood Reporter. Kern's termination was effective Monday. Representatives for Kern did not respond to multiple requests for comment.
In a December story, multiple NCIS: New Orleans sources said they told CBS HR that Kern harassed and unfairly penalized women, repeatedly bullied a nursing mother and made racially insensitive statements, among other allegations.

Written by David Grae and produced by former CBS Entertainment head Glenn Geller, Body Cam Cop follows a cop when his heroism inadvertently lands him celebrity status after an on-the-job incident goes viral. He and his new partner are then selected to be part of a pilot program that livestreams body cam footage to the public. However, they soon find their lives complicated when the cameras create unintended consequences on and off the force.

MOVIES: Sesame Street - Jonathan Krisel to Direct Live-Action Musical Adaptation
Sources tell Variety that “Portlandia” director and co-creator, Jonathan Krisel, is set to helm the live-action “Sesame Street” movie for Warner Bros. The film will be a musical, according to sources.
Shawn Levy is producing with Michael Aguilar. Mike Rosolio penned the first draft, while Chris Galletta wrote the most recent version, which he’s polishing. Sesame Workshop, which holds the rights to the show, will also be involved in the development of the project.

EXCLUSIVE: NBC has given a script commitment plus penalty to Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, an hourlong musical dramedy from Jake in Progress creator Austin Winsberg, Paul Feig (Bridesmaids), Eric and Kim Tannenbaum (Two and a Half Men), Universal Music Group and Lionsgate TV.
Written by Winsberg and to be directed by Feig, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, is described tonally as What Women Want meets La La Land. It follows a whip-smart, socially awkward girl in her late 20s who is suddenly given an extraordinary ability to know the deepest desires of the people around her through songs.

H-Town - Cop Drama Based on Canadian Series 19-2 in Development at CBS
CBS has put in development H-Town, a drama series from writer Samantha Corbin-Miller (Law & Order: SVU, Conviction), Jeffrey Kramer’s Juniper Place Productions and CBS TV Studios.
Written by Corbin-Miller, H-Town is based on the Echo Media/Sphere Media Plus Canadian cop drama series 19-2. In the U.S. version, when two Houston detectives from opposing sides of a multi-generational family feud are paired as partners, they find themselves surprisingly drawn to each other even as they investigate a case that may have far-reaching ramifications for both their families.

CBS TELEVISION STUDIOS EXTENDS OVERALL DEAL WITH ROBERT AND MICHELLE KING FOR AN ADDITIONAL THREE YEARS
Golden Globe Award and Emmy Award-nominated writer/producers Robert and Michelle King, co-creators of THE GOOD FIGHT as well as the previous CBS hit “The Good Wife,” have renewed their overall production pact through their King Size Productions banner with CBS Television Studios for an additional three years. Under the agreement, CBS will have exclusive rights to produce television content created and developed by the Kings across all platforms. Liz Glotzer serves as president of King Size Productions and will executive produce all of their upcoming series.
The Kings, who have been at CBS Television Studios since 2009, will continue to guide the highly successful THE GOOD FIGHT, a series that helped launch the growing CBS All Access streaming service. King Size’s newest production is YOUR HONOR, written and executive produced by Peter Moffat, and has already been picked up to series by SHOWTIME. They also have EVIL in development for CBS. A series about the battle between science and religion, EVIL focuses on a skeptical female clinical psychologist who joins a priest-in-training and a blue-collar contractor as they investigate supposed miracles, demonic possession and other extraordinary occurrences to see if there’s a scientific explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work. Additionally, they are developing GIRLS WITH GUNS, also written by the Kings, for CBS All Access in association with Scott Free Productions.
