Maxim Roy (Shadowhunters) has joined the cast of Netflix's October Faction in a recurring role per Deadline. The upcoming 10-episode sci-fi series is based on the IDW comics by Steve Niles and adapted for television by Damian Kindler (Sleepy Hollow, Krypton).
October Faction follows globetrotting monster hunters Fred (J.C. Mackenzie) and Deloris Allen (Tamara Taylor) who, after the death of Fred's father, return to their hometown in upstate New York with their teenage children Geoff (Gabriel Darku) and Viv (Aurora Burghart). As the family adjusts, Fred and Deloris must hide their identities as members of a secret organization, and our heroes quickly discover that their new small-town setting isn’t as idyllic as it seems.
Roy will play Alice Harlow, a powerful warlock and the last of her kind. Driven by a profound sense of loss, Alice sets out to destroy those responsible for the genocide against her people, but along the way she uncovers a long-held secret that could shatter the Allen family forever.
