And so it begins, The Big Bang Theory starts its final season on Monday, but if the premiere is any sign, it will be full of just as many laughs as before.
After getting married in the season 11 finale, Sheldon and Amy are at their honey in New York City. While it starts of with Amy being surprised at Sheldon's gestures and plans, it suddenly turns sours when Sheldon tells her that they need to keep everything to a strict schedule, including coitus.
With Amy and Sheldon gone, Leonard and Penny try to enjoy some alone time but that doesn't turn out as planned when they find Amy's dad (Teller) hiding out in ShAmy's apartment, to get away from his overbearing wife (Kathy Bates). It gets more choatic when Mrs. Fowler comes looking for and husband and things turn to worse when Leonard compares his and Penny's relationship to Amy's parents.
Meanhile, Raj is offered an opportunity to be on the local news to talk about the meteor shower, but when he gets cocky and uses this to take shots at Neil deGrasse Tyson, who got his start in a similar way, it quickly turns into a Twitter feud, much to Raj's delight.

The Big Bang Theory returns for it's 12th and final seasonat a special timeslot of Monday, September 24th, with another episode on it's regular time slot in the same week.
