Deadline has exclusively revealed that Kenan Thompson (Saturday Night Live, Kenan & Kel) is heading to primetime television. NBC has given a production commitment to Saving Larry, a single-camera comedy from Lorne Michaels (SNL creator and executive producer) and Jackie Clarke (Superstore executive producer). Thompson will executive produce the project with Clarke and Michaels. Clarke will pen the script.
Saving Larry centers on a dad (Thompson), who after his wife dies, has to be both mother and father to his kids. And he has to do it all with his father-in-law hovering over him.
