NBC WINS THE OPENING NIGHT OF THE SEASON AMONG THE BIG 4 IN 18-49, TOTAL VIEWERS & EVERY OTHER KEY MEASURE


Monday Primetime Results:

NBC wins the opening night of the season in 18-49, total viewers and every other key measure among the Big 4 – moving ahead after running #2 in 18-49 and #3 in total viewers on the year-ago opening night.

NOTE: ABC’s ratings are subject to downward adjustment due to NFL coverage in the Pittsburgh market.

The series premiere of “Manifest” (2.2 rating in 18-49, 10.3 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET):

· Ties as television’s #1 highest-rated drama series premiere in 18-49, excluding post-NFL previews, since “This Is Us” debuted two years ago (2.8 on Sept. 20, 2016).

· Is NBC’s most-watched drama series premiere since “Blindspot” debuted three years ago (10.605 million on Sept. 21, 2015).

· This is NBC’s first Monday telecast to grow from Voice lead-in in both 18-49 and total viewers.

· Ranks as the #1 drama on the night in 18-49 and total viewers.

· Wins the timeslot among the ABC, CBS and NBC dramas in every key measure.

· Beats ABC’s season premiere of “The Good Doctor” by +57% in 18-49 (2.2 vs. 1.4) and CBS’ season premiere of “Bull” by +144% (2.2 vs. 0.9) and nearly beats the two rival dramas combined in 18-49 (2.2 vs. a combined 2.3).

· Is NBC’s best performance in the Monday 10-11 p.m. timeslot in total viewers, excluding live news and sports, in nearly three years (since “Adele Live in New York City” on Dec. 14, 2015 (11.274 million).

· Is NBC’s best performance in the hour in 18-49, excluding last week’s Emmys and live news and sports, in two years, since “Good Place’s” premiere of back-to-back episodes (2.3 on Sept. 16, 2016).


The premiere of “The Voice 15” (2.0 rating in 18-49, 9.6 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET):

· Jumps +33% versus last spring’s finale in 18-49 (2.0 vs. 1.5 from 9-11 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22) and is up +9% in total viewers (9.562 million vs. 8.774 million.

· Scores the show’s highest Monday rating since March 26 in 18-49 (2.0) and biggest overall Monday viewership since April 9 (9.856 million).

· Beats “Dancing With the Stars” head to head by +81% in 18-49 (2.0 vs. 1.1) and by +1.5 million persons in total viewers (9.6 million s. 8.1 million).

· The year-ago “Voice” premiere averaged a 2.6 in 18-49 and 10.570 million viewers overall on Sept. 25, 2017.

· Will add substantial viewership via time-shifting and VOD – last season, Monday’s “Voice” grew by +25% going from L+SD to L+7 in 18-49 rating (from a 2.02 to a 2.52) and more than +1.8 million viewers overall (10.0 million to 11.9 million). When projected 35-day non-linear viewing was included, the “Voice” 18-49 rating increases to a 3.30.

· Upscale: Last season, Monday’s “Voice” delivered a solidly upscale audience, indexing at a 108 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes.



In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday Night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.0/5; “Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” 2.7/7; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.8/5.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” 0.6/4; “Late Show,” 0.4/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.2/5 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
