TVLine has exclusively revealed that Teddy Sears (The Flash, Masters of Sex, 24: Legacy) has joined the cast of the seventh season of Chicago Fire as the new chaplain. Sears will take on the recurring role of Chaplain Kyle Sheffield, a “warm, kind-hearted, clean-whistle, open and eager” clergyman. He has a caring soul, is a natural born leader and speaks with authority and affection.
TVLine also notes that Sears' Sheffield shares a history with the new paramedic Emily Foster (played by new cast member Annie Ilonzeh) and will also interact with Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer).
Sears will debut in Episode 7.06
Sears' Sheffield takes over for Chaplain Orlovsky (Gordon Clapp) after he announces his retirement.
