Per Variety exclusive, current Disney-ABC president is set to exit the company following their acquisition of FOX assets.
With FOX's Peter Rice and Dana Walden taking over the head TV roles at the new company post merger, Disney CEO Bob Iger had been looking for a place for Sherwood, possibly head of unscripted or the news department, but with FOX losing out on the Sky bid, Sherwood made his decision to exit official.
