Jane Levy (Castle Rock, Suburgatory) has been cast to co-star opposite Renée Zellweger in Netflix's upcoming social anthology thriller, What/If.
Written by Mike Kelly (Revenge) and directed by Phillip Noyce (Salt, The Giver), What/If explores the ripple effects of what happens when acceptable people start doing unacceptable things. Each season will tackle a different morality tale inspired by culturally consequential source material and the power of a single fateful decision to change the trajectory of an entire life.
No character details are revealed but Levy will play Lisa in the 10-episode drama.
What/If was created by Mike Kelley and further developed into a series by Kelley and his producing partner Melissa Loy and Atlas Entertainment’s Alex Gartner.
Deadline previously revealed that this first season will situate around newlyweds. I'm assuming Levy will play the bride (just my speculation) as Renée plays the powerfully magnetic, charming, and seductive capitalist who makes a deal with struggling newlyweds "to secure a badly needed financial windfall". Zellweger's Anne has her own secrets "including a deeply buried metaphorical deal with the devil that set the course for her life back when she was still just a girl herself".
