The Orville - Season 2 - Ted Danson, Marina Sirits, F. Murray Abraham, Ron Canada & Tony Todd to Guest

TrekMovie was present on Friday for a Star Trek Las Vegas panel with Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis which detailed their time together on Star Trek: The Next Generation. It was also revealed that Jonathan Frakes suggested Marina Sirtis for a guest role on The Orville Season 2, an episode of which he was directing. “I’m in a really good episode,” said Sirtis. Sirtis was a “great get” Frakes described. Even more so, with Seth MacFarlane's (creator of The Orville on FOX) permission Frakes announced F. Murray Abraham, Ron Canada, Tony Todd, and Ted Danson would also appear in the same episode.

Joining Sirtis and playing admirals for the Planetary Union will be F. Murray Abraham (Ru’afo in Star Trek: Insurrection) and Ron Canada (who has guest starred three times for Star Trek). Tony Todd (who played three different characters in Star Trek including Worf’s brother Kurn) will be playing a Moclan. And perhaps the biggest surprise Frakes had to announce is Cheers and The Good Place star Ted Danson also appears in this same episode.

The Orville returns Sunday, December 30 after a double-header football game on FOX. A regular time slot has not yet been announced. Gossip Girl alum Leighton Meester was previously announced to guest star.

I also recommend reading TrekMovie's entire article here, they have some great photos and details on what went down during the Friday panel including Marina Sirtis thoughts on working with her favorite director, Jonathan Frakes, "He is a force of nature and he gets it".
