Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Killing Eve, Downward Dog) has been cast in a recurring guest role for the upcoming third season of NBC's The Good Place per Entertainment Weekly's exclusive.
Howell-Baptiste will first appear during the premiere as Simone. Simone enters the story via Chidi as she works as a neuroscientist at the Austrailian university he does. Chidi seeks out her help to "figure out if there's something wrong with his brain" per Mike Schur and EW.
“He’s in a discipline where people mull over the divine secrets of the universe and try to tease out incredibly indistinct meaning from various pure thoughts, and she is a person who scans things with machines, determines results, and draws conclusions,” he adds. “She has science and math on her side. She is a very different kind of academic from Chidi.”
