Mena Massoud (Disney's Aladdin, Jack Ryan) has joined the cast of Hulu's Reprisal, a pilot starring Abigail Spencer (Rectify, Timeless) in a series regular role per Deadline. Additionally, Rodrigo Santoro (Westworld) has also been cast as a series regular in the pilot per The Hollywood Reporter. THR notes that Santoro's role in the pilot doesn't stop him from returning to Westworld where he recurs.

The pilot is being written by Josh Corbin (StartUp) and directed by BAFTA-nominated Jonathan Van Tulleken (FX's Trust, Off Season). It hails from A+E Studios and The Littlefield Company. Warren Littlefield (The Handmaid's Tale, Fargo) executive produces the drama.

Described as a "hyper-kinetic revenge tale" centered on Spencer's character, a femme fatale who's attacked and left for dead. After surviving, however, she leads a campaign against a bombastic gang of gearheads.

Massoud will play Ethan Hart, a young man determined to undo his mistakes in life, Ethan finds himself the rookie member of The 3 River Phoenixes, a gang-within-a-gang tasked with keeping The Banished Brawlers’ lucrative operations running smoothly. But as he begins to call this new world home, his own past threatens to pose a dangerous conflict of interest.

Santoro will play Joel Kelly, a longtime member of said gang, The Banished Brawlers, who finds himself rising to the level of de facto leader. The honor-bound Joel has also undergone a recent shift in priorities due to his life outside the gang and struggles to keep the peace.
