Per Deadline and DC, Cicada was a mysterious cult leader who aimed to murder anybody that The Flash had ever saved, using trademark lightning bolt daggers. WBTV and DC describe him as “a grizzled, blue-collar everyman whose family has been torn apart by metahumans, Cicada now seeks to exterminate the epidemic — one metahuman at a time.”
Season 5 will see the introduction of an LGBT character, a possible King Shark vs Grodd battle, deaths, Sherloque Wells, a clingy Nora, a brand new suit and the Flash ring!
Additionally, younger versions of the Rouges will be coming and the theme is Legacy for the season. Tom Cavanagh steps behind the camera for the DC series 100th episode which isn’t apart of the crossover. Iris will finally get her journalism storyline. We will also finally get answers as to how and why Killer Frost’s powers came to be. Danielle Panabaker is noted as the first Arrowverse actress to step behind the camera.
Lastly, Nora’s nickname is XS and Chris Klein (American Pie) has been cast as the supervillain of the season, Cicada.
